I think I learned a lot both about the job itself and about what I like to do in my job. What I have been most proud of, beyond seeing my ideas accepted by my clients, is having accompanied one of them from A to Z: from the design of an innovation competition internal to the presentation of the prototypes produced in front of the jury. I followed the teams on a daily basis, from the progress of their project to their preparation for the final pitch before the company's Comex.
Be proud to see your ideas accepted by customers and be able to support them on projects from A to Z.
After more than 3 years, if you had to take stock of your progress as a consultant, what would you say?
TESTIMONY
At Kea, quickly explore all facets of the industry!
Judith, Senior Consultant,
HEC Paris
We have this complete approach to the job very quickly, so project work is always surprising and never monotonous.
How long have you been with Kea? And why did you choose Kea?
I have been with Kea for almost 3 years now, heard about Kea from friends. They highlighted benevolence at Kea but also the fact of being very quickly empowered and in contact with the client, while being in a firm on a human scale.
That's what I was looking for when I left school for my first job. I didn't want to find myself in a too big firm where the consultants are interchangeable. Having had internship experiences where I was immediately very operational and where I could carry out my projects independently, I also wanted to keep this dimension in my future work.
The image I had of Kea through these testimonials was confirmed when I did the interviews. It is for all these reasons that I chose Kea!
And since then, have you found what you came for?
Yes, and this from my first mission where I was quickly immersed in the deep end!
It was a strategic plan with a very strong customer exposure, analytics but also seminar animations. I was asked to get involved in all aspects of the mission, fairly quickly independently and proactively. So I very quickly had a glimpse of what the job of consultant at Kea was like!
I also had the opportunity to quickly carry out projects independently in all my other missions, to interact a lot with customers and to co-build with them. The high customer exposure is I think a real particularity at Kea, we conduct interviews fairly quickly alone or co-facilitated workshops with our management, and we present our work in CODIR.
The value and exposure we are given at Kea from our first missions allow us to explore all facets of the profession, and all this accompanied by caring teams who are committed to helping us grow, all in a great atmosphere. general. This last point is also very important to me, when you know that you spend most of your day at work.
How would you describe the life of a junior consultant at Kea?
I would say that we are lucky to be able to touch all the dimensions of the consulting profession very quickly. We are really expected as much on the production of analyzes and media as on strategic thinking and the creation of links with our customers. It is because we have this complete approach to the profession very quickly that project work is always surprising and never monotonous. It also requires mobilizing different skills all the time: analytical skills, rigor but also relational skills and creativity, which is very stimulating on a daily basis.
How many missions have you had since your arrival?
Since I arrived at Kea I have had the chance to carry out many projects, in various sectors ranging from Mass Food Consumption to the aeronautics industry, via pharmacy, banking, the circular economy and construction. . The issues I dealt with were also varied: 5-year strategic plans, customer satisfaction issues or internal innovation.
The format of the teams was rather the same: a small team: a Manager or a Senior Consultant to supervise me directly + a Director and a Senior Partner. I find that being supervised by a Manager or a Senior Consultant allows me to be in a fairly sustained support logic when necessary.
A striking project anecdote?
The teams we support are always able to surprise us!
During a customer seminar, the members of the management committee were in teams of 2 and had to present in the form of a sketch one of the values they wanted to highlight in the customer experience offered by their company. One of the groups, to illustrate the transparency, made us a striptease starting with the shoes and stopping at the T-shirt under the shirt, we were all amazed!
If you had to recommend Kea in 3 words to a candidate on an HEC forum, what would you say?
Kindness,
Requirement,
Co-construction with our customers!
