TESTIMONY
8 months on project, at
our partner h&z, in Germany, I will do it again without hesitation!
Agnes, Director,
ESCP Europe
I also worked a lot with our partners from The Transformation Alliance, the Germans from h&z and the Italians from MBS.
At Kea, I was able to work on many projects where the international dimension is very present.
Projects in France, but with all the documentation in English, projects where most of the clients do not speak French, such as for a leader in building materials present throughout the world, or in Asia Pacific for a French leader in luxury.
The fact of having been integrated into h&z as a consultant " normal » was a unique opportunity.
This intensive experience allowed me to see the job differently, in another culture, for other types of clients, with other types of standards. It was certainly not without difficulties, but we inevitably come out of it grown. It is also a new corporate culture that I have discovered and experienced from the inside, with colleagues with different methods and backgrounds... but all consistent with the values that I consider essential at Kea & Partners and common to the various partners of The Transformation Alliance.
More of eight years after this adventure, I have a very positive assessment.
An idyllic slice of life in the city of Munich (walking to office crossing a river coming straight from the mountains: it's a change from Paris !), the tested and proven ability to work in Germany and in German, an enlarged and international professional network... and the even stronger desire to continue to work in connection with the Outre-Rhin !
I would do it again without hesitation and I am happy to see that today, other colleagues from the Alliance are deciding on the same experience.
Since my stays in Oxford and Berlin as part of the international course at ESCP Europe, the international dimension has taken an important place in my life. Some expatriate for years in China or Mexico, so seen on their side, two years in Europe between London, Berlin and Düsseldorf, when you are a student, it is not much. But these years have made me understand two things: I feel like a European citizen, in a world that I feel is truly international, and I never feel so rich as when I am in contact with people of different nationalities and cultures. I therefore naturally want international exposure to be an integral part of my job.
One of the steps, of which I am today the most proud professionally and personally, is to have been the first consultant to carry out an exchange within our Alliance. In fact, I spent 8 months in Germany at h&z, immersed in the heart of the German automotive industry, between Munich, Stuttgart and Hanover.
