Kea 10th firm and 1st French firm in the Consultor 2022 ranking!

On November 19, Consultor unveiled its 2022 ranking of strategy consulting firms. For this 10th edition, 488 students* in their final year from eight Grandes Ecoles indicated which firms they know best and those for which they would like to work first.

Kea moves up a spot this year to 10th place in the rankings, with an awareness score of 275 . We have also taken up the challenge that we set ourselves last year by becoming no longer the 2nd but the 1st French firm in the ranking , behind the MBBs and the Big Four. 

Since 2017, we have witnessed the entry into the market of these new players in strategy, which have an impact on our position in this ranking. This challenges us even more and forces us to be even more ambitious and innovative in our actions with candidates!

Difficult to fight against the brand power of the Anglo-Saxons we  you will say. But is that really our goal?

Our pride and our will:  maintain this place of choice within  of the top three firms of 100% French origin recognized and attractive by students! Because being the 1st  French cabinet and the  1st firm "Company with Mission" of the classification, mark our singularity!

And good news, our attractiveness percentage continues to increase, from 7.39% in 2016* to 37% today! Proof that our commitment as a "Company with a Mission", our ambition to work towards capitalism with a human face, our confidence in the richness of the individual and the strength of the collective, are attractive for many young talents!

Ours  now to take up the challenge and continue to  to be recognized as a reference for students who want to do consulting differently!

Kea labeled HappyAtWork for starters 2021  !

5th participation and 5th HappyAtWork for Starters podium labeling with 100% of our Starters (under 29 years old)  !

What is the HappyAtWork for Starters label?
This is the 1st Label for companies where it is good to start your career, in partnership with Les Echos-Start. It rewards excellence in the management and motivation of employees under 29 years of age.

Obtaining the label  is based on 3 conditions:
#1: have a participation rate of at least 50%
#2: have at least 60% of the population who would recommend the firm to a friend to come and work there
#3: Obtain an overall score greater than 3.8 out of 5

 

And we got it!
#3: an overall score of  4.04/5
#2: a recommendation rate of  63.9% 
#1: with a participation rate of  76.6%

What are we doing to satisfy our consultants, meet their expectations and thus respect our employer promise?  ?

Here are some answers  through our actions on each dimension measured by the survey.

For us, the profession of consultant is learned above all on project. Beyond face-to-face training  more classic  ", we wish  To do  progress  our consultants  by companionship  alongside their more experienced project managers. The customer interface  is strong from the start and the  accountability  is fast.
We also put our consultants in  imbalance –  dynamic  -  permanently but supervised with a view to learning and continuous progress.

Professional development

3 watchwords  : Proximity, Equity, Transparency


#1 Proximity  :  Beyond project supervision, we have set up local management with managers in charge of overseeing the development of a maximum of 15 consultants - which enables them to  stay tuned to personal aspirations, to steer  professional development  of each and to build personalized courses  -. In addition, the staffing is carried out by the management and takes into account continuous evaluations, to be as close as possible to the development needs of each Keist.


#2 Equity  :  Our evaluation and compensation system is  fair  - no sudden Up or Out – it takes into account both performance, level of imbalance, speed and  the potential for progress.


#3 Transparency and discussion  on the firm's strategy, its business results and how everyone can contribute (plenaries, team meetings, Kea La Parole  : exchange meetings by grade on their aspirations, desires, difficulties, etc.).

Motivation and Management

Beyond the transparency of our remuneration system, our partnership is a strong guarantee of recognition. It is through this  singular and open partnership  - 65% of our consultants are shareholders - and the principle of leaving the capital at age 57, that the  transmission of the practice  to future generations  and the  developing their commitment .

Salary and Recognition

The wealth of Kea are our consultants, their distinctive personalities, and their passion for the job.  We are therefore committed to promoting them as they deserve  :

  • internally to celebrate great project successes

  • externally as Kea Ambassadors to students, for example

  • with the possibility, from the rank of junior consultant, to take part in commercial proposals, publications, Kea conferences, or even development topics for the firm.

  • with the possibility for a junior to organize an internal event on a subject close to his heart (latest examples: Blockchain, Big data).

Pride

In the business of strategy and management consulting where the requirement  and excellence  are the key words, to add  fun  and some  kindness  doesn't seem incompatible at all  !
It's a priority  for us, Kea remains an open and fluid firm – it is easy for a junior to discuss with a Senior Partner, whether on a project or internally.
Training  face-to-face are mostly organized outside of Paris and our premises to create  strong breathing moments between consultants.
Every 4 to 6 weeks, we organize an afternoon where the whole firm meets to discuss the business, our successes, get inspired, and quite simply share  !
>  Our great Animation team, made up of consultants of all ranks and support functions, organizes afterworks and other highlights, always with a touch of impertinence!

INDEX OF PROFESSIONAL EQUALITY MEN/WOMEN

Our score  : 97/100, up +2 points compared to last year  !

We unveiled for the first time last year our index of gender equality in the workplace, in accordance with the law that came into force for companies with 50 to 250 employees.

After a score of 95/100 in 2020, positioning the firm above the national average and at the top of the Consultor ranking for the strategy consulting sector, with 97/100, we continue to widen the gap this year and maintain 1st place in the Consultor parity barometer  !  Our pride, to have progressed on the criterion of the 10 highest salaries, with a score of 10/10!

 

As a responsible consulting actor, this dynamic reflects our DNA, our daily state of mind and our unique conception of consulting where Women and Men are at the heart of value creation.  !

The index is made up of 4 main criteria which assess inequalities between women and men in companies in the form of a score out of 100

In detail, Kea obtained the following scores:

  1. Average pay gap between women and men: 37 / 40

  2. Difference in the distribution of individual increases between women and men: 35/35

  3. Percentage of employees who received a raise in the year following their return from maternity leave: 15/15

  4. Parity among women and men among the 10 highest salaries: 10/10 (+5 points)

 

Parity being anchored in our DNA and our way of conceiving the profession, beyond our own score, we were delighted to see that the gender pay gaps are narrowing within the strategy consulting market!

For this, 4 courses of action:

  1. Increase the talent pool  : the inclusion of women at the highest level automatically gives access to an additional pool of skills to increase the productivity and quality of the recruitment process

  2. Make the company more resilient, de-fragilize it  : studies attempt to demonstrate the positive impact of the presence of women on company figures. The fact is that the diversity of profiles and modes of operation serves decision-making and that the complementarity of feminine and masculine systems of thought promotes the stability of the company.

  3. Send a positive sign to the market  : inclusive and mixed governance is a sign of the proper functioning of the company, a reassuring sign for stakeholders: investors, customers, partners, future talents to be recruited (attractiveness)

  4. Motivate employees and establish a more inclusive culture  : leadership embodied by women shows the way to other women in the company, offering them models of success that facilitate their projection into high-level positions.

The  mutual trust  is a key part of our culture, and from the start, we encourage our consultants to be  force of proposal  and  hold beliefs ,  both internally and on project.

We strive to leave a lot of room for  taking initiative  and at the  creativity  to carry out a project related to their interests.  The "  young transformation alliance  was, for example, created on the initiative of young consultants from the various firms of The Transformation Alliance, in order to promote bridges and exchanges within our international network.
